PEM Fuel Cells

Teledyne Energy Systems is recognized as an industry leader, providing innovative PEM fuel cell products, technology, and services.
Energy Systems has one of the longest industrial histories in fuel cell research. Beginning almost 40 years ago with its early demonstrations of alkaline fuel cell systems, Teledyne Energy Systems and its predecessor companies have been at the forefront of creating high-performing stack and system designs to meet real-world applications. Industry leading demonstrations have included fuel cell stack and system technology with proven performance in tractors, manned submarines, utility vehicles, automobiles, and residential power systems. Today, we offer two distinct products within our Fuel Cell Group – Perry NG Series PEM Fuel Cell Stacks and Teledyne FTU Series Power Systems.
The Teledyne Perry NG Fuel Cell Series was developed from the ground up to supply consistent, reliable power while offering greater flexibility to the system designer. Its rugged design stemmed from more than 100,000 hours of aggregate testing of PEM fuel cells and stacks along with the application of advanced engineering techniques. The NG Series stack operates on any fuel and oxidant combination, including hydrogen/oxygen, hydrogen/air, dilute hydrogen/air, and reformate/air. The modular design supports a variety of active areas, operating voltages, and operating pressures.

Coupling the Teledyne Perry NG Fuel Cell Series to a custom Teledyne FTU Power System capitalizes on Energy Systems' experience in specialty systems and applications. Teledyne has provided some of the earliest examples of fuel cell systems in actual use, including power systems for tractors, utility vehicles, automobiles, submarines, natural-gas-fueled generators, space power, and direct hydrogen portable generators. Our fuel cell systems offer flexible design options, including fuel and oxidant sources, pressures, cooling methods, and power ranges.
