Jason Connell joined Teledyne Brown Engineering in early 2011 as a member of the leadership team in the role of Associate Segment Counsel.  In this capacity, he provides guidance to the companies in the Engineered Systems segment of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated across multiple areas of the law, including litigation, government and commercial contracts, employment law, real property, government compliance matters, and intellectual property.

Connell has a broad legal background in bothprivate and corporate practice. Before joining Teledyne Brown, Connell served as counsel for Intergraph Corporation’s Process, Power, and Marine Division for 5 years.  His experience at Intergraph included extensive contractual and legal negotiations on software licensing, acquisitions, internal procedure development, and other legal compliance matters.  Prior to working at Intergraph, Connell was in private legal practice for 5 years with the Alabama-based law firm, Sirote & Permutt, P.C.  While in private practice, Connell focused on civil litigation matters. 

Connell earned his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Alabama.  He was a recipient of the Jack Warner Scholarship in undergraduate school and a member of the Alabama Law Review in law school.

Connell is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association.  He is also a graduate of the Huntsville-Madison County Leadership Program (CONNECT, Class 1).
