Carolyn Walker was recently named Director of Human Resources and is responsible for the planning, development, and administration of all Human Resources functions. She oversees the Human Resources staff, which includes employment and staffing, salary and wage administration, training and educational assistance, benefits, health and wellness, and employee relations. She also coordinates and implements Company policies and procedures and is responsible for administering the Company’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Programs.
An employee of Teledyne Brown since 1980, Walker has over 30 years of management experience, with strong skills in communication, problem solving, analysis, decision making, presentation, team working, counseling, and database development. Prior to assuming the director position of Human Resources, Walker served as Human Resources Manager at Teledyne Brown, with supervisory and leadership responsibilities in employment, records, employee relations, and EEO Programs. Prior to joining Teledyne, she worked for the Huntsville City Board of Education in the Human Resources area.
Walker holds a B.S. in business education and an M.S. in personnel administration psychology from Alabama A&M University. She has completed several classes in programming, web page development, and those covering regulatory requirements and recent changes to affirmative action and compliance audit training. She has also attended human resources-related workshops and seminars.
Walker is a member of the Huntsville Industry Liaison Group, which focuses on improving communications between industry and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and the EEO Commission. She has received the Team Teledyne President’s Award of Excellence and has been named the Teledyne Administrative Employee of the Quarter twice.
