Software IV&V (Tactical)

TBE’s software IV&V philosophy involves a tailored effort to meet the customer’s needs, applying our processes to all phases of the software development cycle. We identify software issues early in the development cycle, which result in lower overall costs for the system owner.
TBE has provided Software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) support for the U.S. Army PATRIOT Air Defense Missile System since 1976. During this period, the system went through engineering development, fielding, and two war-time operational deployments. We currently provide this IV&V support through the AMRDEC Software Engineering Directorate (SED) on Redstone Arsenal.
During the last 10 years, we have also provided IV&V support for the internationally developed Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS). In addition, we provide air defense missile system expertise to the PATRIOT System User community and evaluate their unique User requirements and how these requirements will fit within the current system architecture.
Our IV&V team also provides extensive Information Assurance expertise for tactical, training, and analysis systems. We perform on-site assessments to identify any system or facility vulnerabilities, and we provide support for all artifacts leading to achieving successful Authority to Operate accreditations.
