11/17/2008

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (November 17 , 2008) — Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that Michael R. Ogles has been promoted to Vice President of Aerospace Systems. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing all space programs, including science, International Space Station (ISS) payload operations, test support, and new launch vehicle development.

Ogles, a 20 year veteran of the aerospace and automotive manufacturing industries, has been serving in an acting capacity since the retirement of Marty Runkle earlier this year. “We are extremely fortunate to have a proven leader like Mike take over our aerospace business,” said Rex D. Geveden. “He brings to this new position the industry experience and managerial expertise to continue Teledyne Brown’s growth in the space business.”

Ogles, who has been with Teledyne Brown since 1999, will continue the Aerospace Systems group focus on aerospace engineering services and space flight hardware. He became director of Space Exploration Systems at Teledyne Brown in 2006, leading the Specialized Engineering and Project Support Blanket Purchase Agreement (SEPS BPA) contract with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.

In his previous role as Program Manager, Ogles was responsible for supporting NASA’s Exploration Launch Office with development of the Crew Launch Vehicle. He is a 1989 graduate of Auburn University and holds a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.

Ogles has received numerous awards, including NASA recognition for outstanding contributions and achievements in support of the Space Shuttle and Space Station Assembly Mission ISS-7A/STS 104 and ISS Increment 2.
