HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (December 13, 2006)- Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) today inducted two new members into its Fellows Program, Dr. John Regner and Charles Anding.
The Fellows Program, established in 2003, honors TBE employees for their outstanding lifetime achievements or contributions in engineering and science. Fellows are selected through a nomination process and approval by a Selection Committee.
'John and Charles have made outstanding contributions at Teledyne Brown,' said Jim Link, president, Teledyne Brown Engineering. 'Each has lent his technical expertise to arrive at solutions that are groundbreaking and have inspired others to follow in their footsteps. TBE is fortunate to have engineers of their caliber.'
Dr. John Regner is widely recognized as an expert in modeling and simulation and for contributions to missile defense. Joining Teledyne Brown in 1983, he applied his knowledge and skills to the emerging Strategic Defense Initiative, developing mathematical models and computer simulations to facilitate the analysis of missiles and related systems. More recently, Dr. Regner's work has involved leading teams in defining the architecture and mission requirements for ballistic missile defense systems.
In his 27 years with Teledyne Brown, Charles Anding has engaged in a wide array of electronics and systems projects with space, defense, industrial, and medical applications. His major accomplishments include leading the design and development of crystal growth furnaces for research in microgravity, and in equipment for Navy fighter aircraft, Army tanks, and attack helicopters. A ruggedized computer that he designed led to significant sales for the Company. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama.
