Teledyne Brown Achieves SEI-CMMI Level 2

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (December 15, 2008) — Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) today announced that the company’s Software Group successfully achieved a Software Engineering Institute, Capability Maturity Model Integration™ (CMMI) Level 2 assessment. The assessment team was led by A-1 Independent Consulting of Birmingham AL.
“We are continually improving our processes to see to it that our customers receive the highest quality products and services,” said Rex D. Geveden, president, Teledyne Brown Engineering. “This recognition is affirmation that we are on track and on our way to future assessment levels.”
CMMI is a process improvement approach that is being adopted worldwide. CMMI will be applied to Teledyne Brown’s software processes to aid in planning, engineering, managing development and maintenance.
