Teledyne Brown Receives Well Workplace Award From Wellness Councils of America

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (May 2, 2007) — Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that the company has received a Gold Level Well Workplace Award from the Wellness Councils of America (WELCOA). Teledyne Brown is the first company in Huntsville and one of 130 currently in the nation to have this workplace status.
Teledyne Brown passed stringent criteria to achieve the Gold Level award which recognizes quality and excellence in worksite health. WELCOA, an internationally recognized name in workplace wellness, has been setting the standard for workplace wellness for more than two decades.

This stamp of approval from such a highly regarded health agency is affirmation that Teledyne Brown is doing an outstanding job of safeguarding our most valuable resource – our employees.”

Teledyne Brown has offered a wide range of wellness services for the past 20 years. Last year, the company enhanced its wellness focus and established, Go For the Gold, an incentivized Wellness Program. The program provides financial rewards ranging from $40 - $250 to each employee who reaches certain health targets. The Wellness Program consists of health screenings, educational classes, exercise and yoga classes, an on-site fitness center and behavioral change instruction.
