Teledyne Brown Announces Link to Retire

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (July 11, 2007) — Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that its president, James M. “Jim” Link will transition from his current role to Special Advisor to Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated on August 1, 2007 and will retire in January 2008.

 

Link, a retired three-star U.S. Army general, took over as president of Teledyne Brown in July of 2001. Link leaves behind a strong legacy at Teledyne Brown. Under Link’s leadership, Teledyne Brown’s core defense, aerospace, environmental and homeland security businesses have grown, Teledyne Brown CollaborX was acquired, and the company has received several national awards and recognitions. Also during his tenure as president, employees have benefited from a new Wellness Program, the introduction of a Young Professionals Management Development Group, the establishment of a Fellows Program and many other employee-focused programs.

 

In addition, Link set a standard for community service that inspired employees and management to follow.

Link, his wife, Judy, and daughter Carey plan to stay in Huntsville.
