Teledyne Brown’s Lanz Honored by NASA

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (July XX, 2007) — Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that Gerald Lanz, an employee supporting development of the Upper Stage Crew Launch Vehicle at Marshall’s Space Flight Center (MSFC), was recently recognized by NASA for his outstanding contributions to the project.

Lanz, a mechanical design engineer, displayed exemplary leadership, guidance, mentoring and technical contributions as he guided MSFC’s transition from Unigraphics to ProEngineer Computer Aided Design tool.

“Gerald displayed great professionalism as he worked with many organizations within NASA to make sure that this transition took place as seamlessly as possible,” said Jim Link, president, Teledyne Brown Engineering. “He is very deserving of this recognition for his efforts.”

In addition to the NASA award, Lanz also received a Presidential Coin from Teledyne Brown President Jim Link.

Teledyne Brown, a long-time supporter of MSFC, is currently supporting the development of the ARES I integrated thermal analytical model; design of components of the Upper Stage Engine and planning and requirement development for the Upper Stage ground operations and ground support equipment.
