Target Signatures
A knowledge of target signatures is vital to the operation of modern sensing systems. Teledyne Brown Engineering offers proven expertise in the analysis and prediction of signatures throughout the electromagnetic spectrum - visible, infrared, and radar.
- We can translate most CAD and geometry-generation formats of targets
to the forms for radar cross-section (RCS) predictions. We also generate complex geometry files from general product information or concept drawings.
- We have developed hundreds of high-fidelity, time-varying microwave
and millimeter-wave RCS models of foreign ballistic missiles, RVs, and associated objects from sparse sensor data and available intelligence information.
- The Optical Signatures Code (OSC), originally developed by Teledyne
Brown and now maintained by our subsidiary, Teledyne Solutions, is the industry standard for predicting radiation signatures from the visible to long-wavelength infrared region.
- OPTISIG is a fast-running optical signature code used by Teledyne
Solutions for near-real-time testbeds. It rapidly calculates large ensembles of optical signatures for use in tracking and discrimination algorithms.
- We also have signature products that extend across the spectrum.
Our MULTISIG code calculates simultaneous radar, infrared, and visual signatures of ballistic targets while computing their trajectories and dynamics.
From land-vehicle to reentry-vehicle modeling, we have the tools and experience to meet your needs in predicting and analyzing target electromagnetic signatures.
