Weapons Demilitarization
The Chemical Weapons Convention, which has been signed by the United States, Russia, and more than 150 other countries, bans production, stockpiling, or transfer of chemical weapons, with 2007 as the target date for accomplishing this demilitarization. For almost a decade, Teledyne Brown Engineering has participated in this and related activities.
- Chemical Weapon Destruction - We have served as the prime contractor for the DoD's Non-Stockpile Chemical Demilitarization program and have significant capabilities in the disposal of chemical munitions.
- Facilities and Precision-Engineered Devices - We have designed, constructed, tested, and qualified facilities and devices for the safe destruction of chemical and conventional munitions.
- Threat Reduction Support - We have a broad range of experience to support international threat reduction activities, including hands-on experience with weapon systems from the former Soviet Union.
