Mechanical/Structural Analysis and Design
The analysis and design of mechanical/structural components and assemblies are key to effective hardware development. Teledyne Brown Engineering has exceptional skills and tools to provide solutions for hardware developed to the most demanding specifications.
- State-of-the art CAD tools, including Pro-Engineer, Microstation,
and Solid Edge, are at the heart of our concurrent engineering approach.
- Design data are electronically accessible for direct transition to
manufacturing to create CNC instructions and are available in IGES format for direct use in analysis tools.
- The industry-standard PATRAN software is used to develop
finite-element models for stress, fracture, and dynamics analyses.
- NASTRAN software forms the cornerstone for linear stress analysis,
supported by ABAQUS for nonlinear stress analysis.
- MSC/DYTRAN is used for short-duration transient stress problems
involving extreme deformation and FLAGRO for fracture-life predictions.
- We use NASTRAN and DynaView for normal-mode analyses and ADAMS for
solving rigid-response motion in complex mechanical systems.
The Mathcad software is a powerful complement to the above tools and is used to perform structural analyses via classical methods. Let us show you how our skills and tools can provide higher quality with reduced development time.
