Logistics in Design
Stemming from Teledyne Brown Engineering's experience in design, development, and manufacturing of aerospace and military systems, our logisticians have a superior capability to participate in and influence system design for mission success, supportability, and lowest life-cycle cost.
- We are experts in applying logistics tools such as PowerLog, Slic2B,
Relex, LOCAM, CASA, COMPASS, ELCAM, EDCAS and ProModel as appropriate to influence design for supportability, optimization of logistics system performance, and reduced life-cycle cost.
- We apply a tailored logistics support analysis methodology during
design to assure that supportability goals are achieved.
- We conduct maintenance task analysis to document support procedures
and quantify manpower and support requirements.
- We analyze and assess reliability, availability, and maintainability
characteristics to assure that supportability goals and readiness requirements are achieved.
- We develop and document provisioning, supply support, and support
equipment requirements early in design to enable timely procurement and maximum use of common assets and commodities.
Early involvement of logistics team members enables identification of supportability deficiencies and cost-effective resolutions. Teledyne Brown's logisticians are key members of our product / project development teams.
