Life Extension & Disposition
Extending system useful life through modifications and upgrades is often the most cost-effective means of continuing to support a mission. When items and systems are finally taken out of service, special efforts must be taken to ensure safe and efficient disposition. Teledyne Brown Engineering has major capabilities and experience in these activities.
- We provided service-life extension efforts for the Air Defense
Department of a large foreign country, refurbishing and upgrading all of their missile and gun systems, and designing and fabricating complex test equipment for continuing maintenance.
- When the time comes for disposition, we offer complete solutions for
demilitarization, material recovery, and disposal of hazardous waste. TBE designs, manufactures, deploys, and operates neutralization and disposal systems such as those at US Army Pine Bluff Arsenal.
- Under Threat Reduction efforts, we have hands-on and management
experience in fissile material, chemical weapons, biological weapons, and infrastructure elimination activities in the former Soviet Union, including facilities for the storage or disposal of weapons of mass destruction.
For unequaled performance in service-life extension and disposition activities, select Teledyne Brown Engineering.
