Assembly and Testing
Teledyne Brown Engineering has excellent facilities for the assembly and
testing of systems.
- The high-bay assembly building has 6,000 square feet of space and a
10-ton crain with a 32-foot hook height. This facility is often used to
assemble very large, precision structures.
- A 5,000-square-foot facility is operated as a Class 100,000 (SI
M6.5) clean room for the assembly of space-qualified systems. For 0.5- to
5.0-micron particles, the count is generally below Class 10,000 limits.
The facility has two 5-ton overhead cranes with a hook height of 22 feet.
- Horizontal optical tooling bars and transits are available to devide
the rear of the large clean room into four bays aligned from a single
optical cube. Two vertical tooling bars for sight levels complement the
horizontal tooling.
