Electrical and Electronics
Teledyne Brown has a 4,000-square-foot facility devoted to electrical and electronic assembly. The area is environmentally certified to Class 300,000 with the floor electrostatic-sensitive-devices (ESD) certified. There are 38 ESD workstations and a full complement of test equipment and calibration standards. A 840-square-foot room certified to Class 10,000 is available for special electronic assembly and experimentation.
Equipment and skills are available for:
- Assembly of printed wiring assemblies and chassis
- Conformal coating and staking of printed wiring assemblies
- Fabrication of cable assemblies, including crimping and braiding
- Potting of electronic modules and cables
- Vacuum bake of connectors, backshells, and cable assemblies
- Inspection and testing of assemblies, cables, and chassis.
All soldering meets the requirements of J-STD-001and IPC-A-610. Space-related soldering meets NASA-STD-8739.3 and MSFC-STD-2905.
