The primary users of DocuBurst are proposal managers, project managers, analysts, and engineers.
DocuBurst operates on text and rich text format files. If you have a PDF file, open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader, Select the text you want to copy, on the Edit Menu, click Copy, switch to Word, and click Paste. Then, you must save the file as either .txt or .rtf before running DocuBurst.
Yes. DocuBurst runs on Windows 98, 2000, XP, ME, NT 4.0 with SP 6A or higher, and Server 2003.
Yes. DocuBurst provides a variety of formats for export that are accepted by Excel, Word, Access Database, or any tool that accepts delimited formats such as Configuration Management Tools, Requirements Management Tools, and Proposal Automation Tools.
Yes. DocuBurst allows the user to define and save rule sets, or search queries, for extracting headings and text objects. Any of the default queries may be duplicated and modified.
Yes. The user may edit the text objects and headings as they are extracted or after they are extracted. The source document remains unchanged; only the extracted document reflects modifications.
