"In
managing the requirements for the AAAV Program, we needed an off-the-shelf
tool that was easy to learn, useable by all of our engineers, and accessible
to everyone, including our on-site customer. The tool had to be implemented
in a short time, be cost-effective, and make use of existing data so completed
work wasn't lost. We looked at several available tools and selected XTie-RT.
With
XTie-RT, we were able to set up a useable database structure, import all
of our data from our existing database, and train all of our users in
just under a month's time. We provided over 200 people with a XTie-RT
client for less than it would have cost to set-up just 10 clients in our
previous tool. And because XTie-RT was PC-based, we could load the client
software directly onto the users' PCs and connect them to the server through
a network connection. Using XTie-RT provided our team with the ability
to manage and trace requirements and to successfully complete our design
reviews on schedule and at reduced risk."
