Test and Flight Hardware
From Skylab, America's first space station, to the present International
Space Station (ISS), Teledyne Brown Engineering has designed, developed, and
manufactured complex experiment apparatus and associated hardware for space
systems.
- Our gloveboxes, crystal growth furnaces, data-handling equipment,
and other space-qualified hardware were extensively used in Space Shuttle and
Russian Mir experimental payloads.
- For the ISS, our ground-support hardware was used in the test and
integration phase for the U.S. Laboratory, the Habitation Module, the Node,
and the Mini Pressurized Logistics Module.
- Central to the ISS ground assembly, our giant Element Rotation Stand
was used to support and rotate the various Station modules, and to simulate
the physical characteristics of each module.
- We are supporting the design and development of the Ares I-X Roll Control Modules.
