Theater Missile Defense
For over four decades, Teledyne Brown Engineering has been a key player in the development of defensive technologies needed to design, integrate, and evaluate Theater Missile Defense (TMD) systems.
- An effective Family of Systems for TMD requires active defense (threat destruction), passive defense (minimize enemy effectiveness), and a solid foundation of integrated command and control capability.
- Our expertise spans the disciplines required in each of these areas, and we possess the knowledge to address the issues for the full life-cycle, from doctrinal issues to operational elements to system-level testing.
- We have the tools and techniques needed to integrate
distributed
systems into a coordinated defensive fighting force. Applicable
software products that we developed and use include:
- Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM)
- Joint Force Analysis Simulation (JFAS)
- Distributed Integrated Simulation (DIS)
- Advanced Subsystem, Element, and System Simulation (ASESS)
Teledyne Brown's dedicated engineers and scientists have been recognized by government and industry for contributing to program successes with a very significant number of innovative solutions. We can provide this expertise under prime and subcontract efforts in all types of BMD activities.
Teledyne Brown has worked on all of the existing and candidate systems for the U.S. TMD, including Patriot, THAAD, Aegis, AWACS, JTAGS, and Shield, as well as the evolving theater command and control systems.
We are the logical choice to solve major problems in integrating and testing the evolving TMD Family of Systems.
