Universal System Exerciser
USE (Universal System Exerciser), a software product of Teledyne Brown Engineering, is a distributed integrated systems framework for research and development of geographically distributed, real-time systems. This framework facilitates the development of distributed test and training systems and associated components.
USE is directly applicable to any system that combines distributed hardware-in-the-loop technology or human-in-the-loop technology with advanced distributed disciplines.
USE is particularly beneficial in
- Designing, developing, and testing concepts
- Improving existing systems
- Creating and supporting distributed training systems
- Evolving combinations of systems interoperating under realistic conditions of synchronized virtual worlds.
USE Characteristics:
- Low-cost, multiplatform solutions supporting Windows NT and Unix
- Uses data parsing and COTS software to analyze captured data
- Supports both HLA and DIS communications
- Capabilities include remote network links with encryption, as well as Local Area Network and T1 links.
