HUNTSVILLE, AL. - February 7, 2019 - Teledyne Brown Engineering announces Captain (Ret.) Peter DeMane has joined its Business Development and Acquisitions group as the Director of Business Development for the National Capital Region. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, DeMane will lead business development activities to assist with growth across all business units: Maritime Systems, Geospatial, Mission Systems, Space, and Energy.
DeMane joins Teledyne from Hawkeye Tracking, Inc. where he served as the Vice President of Business Development. This Veteran-owned small business located in Fairfax, Virginia focuses on U.S. and Foreign Military Sales contracts across the full spectrum of supply chain management activities.
DeMane has 30 years of experience at various levels within the Navy including command at sea of an AEGIS destroyer and Commodore of a destroyer squadron. He has served at senior levels within major staffs to include the Navy Staff, The Joint Staff, U.S. Joint Forces Command, and U.S. European Command/Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe. DeMane also helped lead the team that created the Command and Control Capability Portfolio Management (C2 CPM) system to achieve Defense Department-wide acquisition efficiencies by eliminating service capability redundancies and gaps.

Captain DeMane is a 1986 graduate of the University of Rochester majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He attended the Naval Postgraduate School’s Navy Corporate Business Course in Monterey, California. He is also a graduate of the National Defense University’s National War College at Ft. McNair, DC, where he earned a Master of Science degree in National Security Policy Studies.
