HUNTSVILLE, AL - September 22, 2017 - On September 21, 2017, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center held its Small Business Alliance Meeting at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center where Industry & Advocate awards were presented to leaders in the aerospace business community for 2017.
During this event, Debbie Batson, the Director, Large/Small Business Strategic Alliances at Teledyne Brown Engineering, was presented with the Small Business Program Advocacy Award. This award was given in recognition of the planning and coordinating of special outreach activities Batson performs as part of her leadership in the appointed position on the Marshall Prime Contractor Supplier Council.
Batson has worked for Teledyne Brown Engineering for 17 years. During her time with the company she has worked to form and promote small business partnerships and to enhance contract performance. Her work to advocate small business participation spans the company’s diverse business markets, promoting capabilities in Space, Energy, Defense and Manufacturing areas.

During the ceremony, Genex Systems LLC of Newport News, Virginia, was also presented with an award, and named Marshall's Small Business Subcontractor of the Year, for their support to Teledyne Brown Engineering under the Mission Operations & Integration contract.
