HUNTSVILLE, AL - May 23, 2014 - Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. announced today that Janice L. (Jan) Hess became President of the Engineered Systems segment of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated and its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc.
She is responsible for establishing the leadership, direction, and growth of the companies in the Engineered Systems segment which include Teledyne Brown, Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc., Teledyne Turbine Engines, and Teledyne CML Composites.

Hess previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Teledyne's Engineered Systems segment, Teledyne Brown, and Teledyne Scientific and Imaging. When she joined Teledyne 14 years ago, Hess was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Teledyne Brown. She was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Engineered Systems Segment and Teledyne Brown Engineering in 2007.
Hess succeeds Rex D. Geveden as President of the Engineered Systems segment and Teledyne Brown. Geveden is Executive Vice President of Teledyne Technologies, the Digital Imaging segment, and the Engineered Systems segment and was recently named President of Teledyne DALSA, Inc., in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
