Teledyne Brown Bolsters Manufacturing Capability With Acquisition of UK Firm

HUNTSVILLE, AL - August 16, 2010 - Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that it has significantly increased its manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of CML Group in the UK, a leading manufacturer of precision machined structures and composites for the aerospace industry. CML Group was part of Intelek plc which was acquired by Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in July.

The new company operates under the name Teledyne CML Group, Ltd. and is operationally integrated with Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama.

"CML offers a highly complementary capability in composites manufacturing to our traditional strengths in aerospace design and precision machining and manufacturing in Huntsville," said Rex D. Geveden, President of Teledyne Brown Engineering. "We should be able to expand in both the UK and Huntsville as we cross-leverage our capabilities and customer knowledge, especially in the NASA market and in military and civil aviation."

CML, based near Liverpool in the UK, manufactures composite structures and high-precision metal components for commercial and military aircraft primarily in Europe. Teledyne CML Group, Ltd. will open a 60,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art composite manufacturing facility in the UK this fall to increase capacity for this growing line of business.
