Teledyne Brown Engineering Awarded Phase I High Energy Laser Tactical Vehicle Demonstrator

HUNTSVILLE, AL - August 31, 2017 - Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. based in Huntsville, AL, has recently been awarded the base phase of the High Energy Laser Tactical Vehicle Demonstrator (HEL TVD) contract.  This effort is part of the Design, Development, Demonstration and Integration (D3I) Domain 1 program under the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT).

Teledyne Brown Engineering’s team will provide continued support to the USASMDC/ARSTRAT by designing, developing, integrating and testing the hardware and software required to deliver a high energy laser weapon system prototype residing on a Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV). During the concept refinement or base phase Teledyne and its team will fully define the HEL TVD weapon system concept. The HEL TVD Task Order consists of a base phase and three option phases having a total potential contract value of $142M.  The task order contract will be active through August 2023.
