Teledyne Brown Engineering Awarded REMIS Contract

HUNTSVILLE, AL - October 5, 2017 - Teledyne Brown Engineering was announced as an awardee on the Research, Engineering, and Mission Integration Services (REMIS) contract issued from NASA’s International Space Station (ISS) Program Office. The multiple-award, IDIQ contract consists of a 5 year base period with a two year option and a total maximum value of $500M.

This contract vehicle will operate through competitive task orders addressing payload integration, operations, hardware, software design and development for the ISS.  The number of experiments on the ISS is expected to grow considerably with a commercial approach enabled by this contract, to assist NASA in achieving its mission more affordably and quickly. The REMIS contract is also accessible to other NASA Centers due to its flexibility.

Teledyne Brown Engineering is supporting the International Space Station in numerous ways.  The company is the prime contractor on the Mission Operations and Integration (MO&I) contract supporting the Payload Operation Integration Center (POIC) at Marshall Space Flight Center in support of the crew on the ISS.  The company’s commercial MUSES platform, sits aboard the ISS and is managed from their Operations Center in Huntsville AL.   Teledyne Brown Engineering also manages the development of the Ring Shear Drop experiment, the SUBSA payload, the integration and operation of the Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG) and the Material Science Research Rack (MSRR) facilities on the ISS.
