HUNTSVILLE, AL - April 26, 2017 - Teledyne Brown Engineering under contract with the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) designed, developed, tested and integrated 10 Sample Ampoule Assemblies (SAAs). The SAAs contain scientific samples that will be processed on the International Space Station in the Solidification Using a Baffle in Sealed Ampoules (SUBSA) Furnace which operates in the Microgravity Science Glovebox. The goal of these experiments is to produce materials that will be used to advance sensor technology in the future. The company will control these experiments at their onsite Tele-Science Center in Huntsville, AL.

The SAAs were launched April 18th on Cygnus flight CRS OA-7. This is the seventh commercial resupply mission to the International Space Station and is carrying 7,600 pounds of supplies and research for crew aboard the orbiting laboratory.
