HUNTSVILLE, AL - September 25, 2017 - Teledyne Brown Engineering announces its newest team member and Senior Director, Kevin McCombs. Based in Huntsville, AL, the company’s headquarters, McCombs is responsible for management and operations of the Mission Systems Business Unit.
“Kevin is a strategic addition to lead the Mission Systems team, broaden market awareness, and expand market participation,” stated Jan Hess, President of Teledyne Brown Engineering. “He possesses the experience, program knowledge and energy that this position will require to continue our successes and growth in the defense market.”
Prior to his position with Teledyne Brown Engineering, McCombs was the Development Program Manager for Raytheon on the Redesigned Kill Vehicle program, the Missile Defense Agency’s next generation Kill Vehicle. His experience leading very large complex programs, combined with leadership of proposals, supply chain, and quality organizations provides him with a deep and broad understanding of business. McCombs is a certified Six Sigma Expert. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics and a master’s degree in Integrated Logistics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
His current role will include oversight and growth of the Mission Systems business unit with programs that support multiple customers globally. Mission Systems delivers products and services to include weapon systems engineering and integration, software development, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, operational analyses, and medical logistics planning.
