Teledyne Brown Engineering Wins $10.5 Million Naval Health Research Center Task Order

HUNTSVILLE, AL. - August 27, 2015 – Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. announced today the Company was awarded a Task Order contract with the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) under the Navy Exploratory Medicine Omnibus III contract vehicle to maintain and enhance their suite of medical planning tools, including the Joint Medical Planning Tool (JMPT) and the Medical Planners’ Toolkit (MPTk).

As the premier deployment health research center for the Department of Defense, NHRC's cutting-edge research and development is used to optimize the operational health and readiness of the nation's armed forces.

JMPT and MPTk are used by military medical planners worldwide to analyze various aspects of expeditionary medical planning. JMPT is a computer-based simulation tool that models patient flow from the point of injury through treatment. It supports research, medical systems analysis, operational risk assessment, and field medical services planning. MPTk is a suite of tools that provides planners with an end-to-end solution for medical support planning across the range of military operations, from combat operations to humanitarian assistance.

Teledyne Brown is the original developer of JMPT and MPTk and has been providing continuous development and maintenance for over 10 years.
