ARTEMIS II TRAIL HUNT
Explore downtown Huntsville with a hunt for Artemis vehicles positioned along the Downtown Art Trail!
For over 7 decades, Huntsville has played a major role in NASA's mission to explore space. In honor of all that this community has done to support the Space Launch System (Artemis) vehicle, we have hidden 1-foot tall rockets around the downtown area for you to find. The general locations are listed on the back, but you'll have to do the work to find where the rockets are. Bring your family, friends, and coworkers if they are up for the challenge. Come downtown for the hunt, then stay to experience all of what Huntsville has to offer!!
Artemis II builds on the success of the uncrewed Artemis I in 2022, and will demonstrate a broad range of capabilities needed on deep space missions. The Artemis II test flight will be NASA’s first mission with crew aboard the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket and Orion spacecraft. The four astronauts will orbit the Moon to verify that all spacecraft systems function as intended with a crew aboard in the actual deep-space environment.
