Jack Ickes

Jack Ickes has over 30 years of experience in engineering, operational excellence, and change management.

Ickes has used his expertise in the areas of process re-engineering and best practices to achieve operational excellence in projects, business segments, and companies throughout his career. Ickes has developed extensive knowledge of business systems and supporting processes and specializes in these areas. He is a seasoned executive with extensive technical and manufacturing experience including advanced electronics.

He joined Teledyne Brown Engineering in 2015 and is currently responsible for oversight of the Teledyne Advanced Electronic Solutions Business Segment. He also serves as the subject matter expert supporting corporate-level Continuous Operational Improvement objectives.

Prior to joining Teledyne Brown, Ickes ran his own company, Ickes Group LLC, providing consulting services in operational excellence to technology companies.

From 2011 through 2014, Ickes was President of the Geospatial Solutions Division within Leica Geosystems. There he was responsible for the aerial sensor business generating over $80 million in annual revenue. He oversaw acquisitions that expanded the business to include bathymetric, mobile, and UAV sensors bringing the combined business to approximately $100M in annual sales.

From 1991 until 2011, Ickes served in various technical and managerial positions with Intergraph Corporation. His assignments included; Electronics Design Engineer, SAP Business System Implementation Manager, Vice President of Manufacturing, and General Manager of the Aerial Imaging business unit (Z/I Imaging).

Ickes earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1990.
