Contracting under the U.S. Army, Teledyne developed the Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS) as a mine counter measure system that provides rapid neutralization of mines at sea. This system is currently deployed from helicopter and is being modified to deploy from remotely operated surface boats and other unmanned vessels. The AMNS is used as a mine countermeasure for aircraft carries, large amphibious ships, and the Littoral Combat Ship. Not only is it used to identify moored sea mines, it also has the capability to move and neutralize mines to support naval operations.
Teledyne developed manufacturing plans, processes, and procedures as well as performed engineering and manufacturing analysis of this Low-Rate Initial Production technical data package for this program. After manufacturing was complete use in-house developed inspection tools, test equipment, and test procedures to verify mechanical and electrical integrity. . ​
